About Therapy Ally™

We started Therapy Ally because we saw a gap. People do real, meaningful work in therapy. But that work doesn't end when the session does.

So much of life happens in between: the quiet moments, the difficult conversations, the habits we're trying to change, and the challenges that don't wait for the next appointment. You leave a session with new insights, perspectives, or skills, then carry them into everyday life where growth takes shape over time.

As professionals with decades of experience in mental health, coaching, and technology, we kept seeing the same thing. Therapy can be transformative, but maintaining momentum between sessions isn't always easy. Questions arise, challenges resurface, and opportunities for growth often appear when a therapist isn't immediately available.

So we built Therapy Ally to support people in that space. Not as a replacement for therapy, and not as a quick fix, but as a place to reflect, practice what you're learning, and stay connected to your goals between sessions. It's grounded in evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, and mindfulness, and designed to work alongside the care you're already receiving.

Because Therapy Ally works alongside therapy rather than around it, it can become part of the therapeutic process. Therapists can use it to stay connected with clients between sessions, assign exercises and homework, monitor progress, and gain greater visibility into the work happening throughout the week. At the same time, clients can continue reflecting, practicing skills, and engaging with their growth in a structured and supportive environment.

We take your privacy seriously. Therapy Ally is built with privacy, security, and confidentiality at its core. When Therapy Ally is part of your therapeutic care, you remain in control of what is shared and what stays private. Your personal growth deserves a space where you can reflect honestly and openly.

Our vision is simple: a stronger connection between therapy and everyday life. When the work you do in therapy continues between sessions, insights have a chance to take root, new skills become habits, and meaningful change becomes part of everyday living. Clients stay engaged in their progress, therapists stay connected to the therapeutic process, and the work of therapy continues beyond a single conversation.

If you'd like to get in touch, we're always happy to hear from you at info@therapyally.ai.

Meet the Founders

Meredith Lawida, Co-Founder and CMO

Meredith has spent more than thirty years leading brand and marketing for growth-stage companies, from early technology ventures to commerce startups she helped build from the ground up. She co-founded Ecommerce Accelerator, where she led brand architecture, market positioning, and go-to-market. Across earlier roles spanning technology, media, and agency work, she built marketing functions, ran national campaigns, and shaped how companies positioned themselves through a pivotal shift from print to digital.

As her experience deepened, she began asking different questions. Who are we building this for? Why does this matter? Her work evolved from helping companies sell to helping organizations serve, and eventually to helping people reflect and grow. That shift led her to co-found the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA), the first organization of its kind, where she built the brand and launch strategy while helping families navigate the emotional and human realities of end-of-life care.

As Co-Founder and CMO of Therapy Ally, Meredith leads brand, positioning, and go-to-market, building the company's voice and presence intentionally from day one to offer steady, accessible therapeutic support.

Arthur Lawida, Co-Founder and CEO

Arthur is a technology entrepreneur and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in California. A graduate of Duke University, he holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. He has founded five startups and exited three, most recently serving as President of the Americas for commercetools, where he scaled the regional business to more than $100 million in recurring revenue in five years.

Alongside his business career, Arthur pursued the deeper questions of how people understand themselves and grow into their fullest potential. He returned to school for a clinical counseling degree, training as a therapist to better understand human behavior and help people directly.

As Co-Founder and CEO of Therapy Ally, he brings together both sides of that pursuit, business discipline and a clinician's insight into how people think and feel, to shape a product grounded in real therapeutic care.
